Retirement was supposed to be quiet, yet one scroll on Twitter sent me spiraling into a full‑blown writing fever. A professor stumbled across my wild fiction tales and nudged me toward Medium, and suddenly the girl who once lived for books and diary scribbles was reborn as a full‑time story siren.

Since then, I’ve wandered through a buffet of platforms, Medium (RIP to my naïve deleted works), Amazon Kindle Vella (RIP to the whole platform), Vocal Media, Novellea, Lulu, and YouTube, where my stories, narrations, and creative experiments continue to find new life. My tales now live across the internet like Halloween candy: free and abundant.

I’ll share my written stories here on Substack, and you can hear their narrated versions on YouTube, the link to my channel is on my profile, brought to life through AI Voice storytelling.

Memoir

Memoir: From humble roots to working for government big wigs in Washington, D.C., who saw that coming? Picture me: a latte‑fueled secretary scheduling executive meetings to the minute, creating travel authorization orders with Olympic‑level precision, greeting foreign and domestic dignitaries, and making covert coffee runs.

They worked me to the bone, and through it all, the caffeine helped me push out the work. Significantly. Now the caffeine is helping me push out stories.

One minute I’m filing “top secret” papers like a ninja, and then—WHAM! A package explodes, paper everywhere, lipstick intact.

From that package explosion to covert ops, I became Special Agent Mia Z. Don’t worry, I won’t leak any intel about my global travels, just the awkward moments that shaped my career and my life.

Then came the plot twist: I was assaulted by a friend who turned foe, and I fought back so hard he ended up in the ambulance… and the police handcuffed me for defending myself. Unbelievable!

After that trauma, that’s when I found Jesus, who helped me separate the good friends from the ones clearly sent from Lucifer.

Love Musings

And through it all, I remained a hopeless romantic. Love is my jam. I write about romance because nothing beats the thrill of being swept off your feet, especially when retirement gets a little lonely.

Fiction

When the truth needed a break, fiction stepped in, bold, modern, chaotic, and unapologetically fun.

I still drink coffee like I’ve got meetings to schedule and travel orders to generate. My body retired, but my caffeine habits did not get the memo.

Thank you for reading and riding this wild wave with me.
